Jamie Lou is an award-winning filmmaker, screenwriter, director, editor, and producer. In 2020, her short film, Lady Lazarus, (based on her feature-length screenplay) won ten film festival awards, including Best Indie Short Film, Best Indie Film, Best Director (two awards), Best Story, Best Screenwriter, Best Woman Filmmaker, Best Actress, Best Sound Editing, Best Women’s Short Film, Best Women’s Issue Short. In 2019, her dramatic feature screenplay, Lady Lazarus, made it to the second round at the Austin Film Festival Screenplay Competition (top 18%). Lady Lazarus also placed in the top 10% at the Academy Nicholl Screenwriting Fellowship in 2021.

Jamie is a produced playwright at the Secret Rose Theatre in North Hollywood for her one-act comedy, Let’s Have a Baby. She is an award-winning comedic web series creator and sketch comedy writer whose work has received Official Selection at Raindance in London, The Albuquerque Film Festival, The Chicago Comedy Film Festival, The Feel Good Film Festival, Dances with Films, and The Broad Humor Film Festival.
